Demuxed with latest DGDemux with DV merge function.

REPACK: Used superior video from Criterion which is in the of OAR 1:85:1 and has a better encode with superior fine detail and grain retention. It also includes the original Warner Bros. logo and tinted credits, as originally intended. Due to this, it’s not possible to inject the HDR10+ metadata from the previous UHDs.

Criterion’s mono here has been hit with much more noise reduction than on Full Metal Jacket. However, since it’s a new transfer, it was included as a “filtered” option. Despite the lower bitrate, Criterion’s 5.1 track is well encoded and isn’t as dithered as Warner’s bloated track; It also corrects three things: A fade-out and fade-in at 17m 50s, The rear right channel in the middle of the movie, and lastly, the clipping present in the previous UHD (with two flat waveforms). In contrast, the commentary from the previous UHD has better dynamic range and is in stereo, so synced it.

Criterion’s subtitles were too bright so tonemapped it and the other PGS to the % of the previous UHD.

Named chapters from Criterion as Warner’s chapters are excessive. Chapters corrected to i-frames where needed.
