In Los Angeles, Henry is a veterinarian whose fiancée Kate dies in an accident on the day they're to marry. Worried that Henry has closed off his social life, his sister suggests he use a psychic to contact Kate, lay to rest unresolved feelings, and live more fully. He tries it, though he doesn't believe in it. Nothing happens, so his sister gives Ashley, the psychic, Kate's diary. Now she's able to convince Henry she's in contact with Kate and start the therapy. Two things happen: they find themselves attracted to each other, and Kate's ghost, who also has some unresolved issues, returns to stop this budding romance.

Plot
After his fiancée, Kate, dies in an accident on their wedding day, veterinarian Henry grows depressed. To help him
move on, his sister has him visit psychic Ashley and gives her Kate's diary. Ashley uses the journal's details to
convincingly deliver the fake message that Kate wants Henry to move on. However, Kate's ghost is watching over
Ashley and Henry. Furious when they fall for each other, she vows to sabotage their relationship.
Trama
Kate sta controllando ossessivamente ogni particolare del ricevimento per il suo imminente matrimonio con Henry,
quando viene travolta e uccisa dalla statua di ghiaccio di un angelo, trasportata su un furgone da un autista
ubriaco. Un anno dopo, la sorellina di Henry, decisa a fare qualcosa per scuoterlo dal torpore del lutto, gli
presenta Ashley, una giovane donna che si divide tra un'impresa di catering e un lavoro da veggente. Scettico
riguardo alle sue doti da Cassandra, Henry desidera comunque continuare a frequentarla, perché tra i due è
sbocciato in fretta l'amore. Peccato che il fantasma di Kate non abbia nessuna intenzione di lasciarlo migrare
nelle braccia di un'altra donna e preferisca dichiarare guerra aperta alla povera Ashley, l'unica, d'altronde, che
è in grado di vederla e di comunicare con lei.
