Trama
X-Men 2 è un film del 2003 diretto da Bryan Singer, sequel di X-Men. Dopo aver imprigionato Magneto (Ian McKellen) e aver fermato la sua Confraternita di mutanti, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) cerca risposte sul suo passato dal momento che non ricorda come ha ottenuto la mutazione. Quando il teleporta Nightcrawler cerca di assassinare il presidente degli Stati Uniti, Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) raduna gli X-Men e rintraccia il mutante grazie al sofisticato macchinario Cerbero. A causa dell’attentato, la popolazione è terrorizzata dai mutanti e il colonnello William Stryker (Brian Cox) sfrutta la paura per i suoi sordidi scopi. Stryker e la mutante Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu) ottengono un mandato per Xavier e si recano nella scuola per catturare quanti più mutanti possibili.
Mentre Colosso (Daniel Cudmore) mette al sicuro i ragazzi, Logan fugge a Boston con Rogue (Anna Paquin), Bobby (Shawn Ashmore) e Pyro. Quando Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) e Tempesta (Halle Berry) rintracciano Nightclawer, la verità su Stryker viene a galla. Anni prima, l’uomo aveva chiesto a Xavier di curare suo figlio mutante ma il professore, considerando la mutazione come un dono, lo aveva aiutato a perfezionare i suoi incredibili poteri telepatici. Ora Stryker, coinvolto anche nel passato di Wolverine, vuole vendicarsi. Nel frattempo, approfittando della confusione generale, la scaltra Mystica libera Magneto dalla sua prigione di plastica. Inaspettatamente, il mutante e la sua Congrega si uniranno agli X-Men per fermare Stryker, che ha intenzione di utilizzare Cerbero per scovare ed uccidere tutti i mutanti. Giunti nel covo segreto del colonnello, alcuni degli X-Men saranno soggiogati da Stryker e solo l’immenso potere di Jean potrà salvarli…
