A modern day look at personalities in the US Navy as played out in this
loose adaptation.

If a discussion of the event of a naval mutiny on board ship

this download would interest you. Along the way, as witnesses are
questioned, an observation is made that in certain bureaucratic mindsets
the idea that a man can be with faults that would reflect badly on the
system would lead to the tendency to negate the admission that the fault
could in fact be extant as it would make them look bad at a level they
wont admit to in any instance in the first place.

Also in an interesting exchange, when a Naval Doctor is asked on the
witness stand as to whether a man who is at odds with reality would be
deemed mentally ill, he suggests that it is not an uncommon condition
as all use rationalizations in some way or other to make their lives
more live-able unto themselves, and he goes on to suggest that a man who
is a paranoid personality type with all that the textbooks have documented of the
type including delusions of persecutions, stubborn behaviour and much negativity
towards those who might differ from them, the doctor overrides these findings
and more findings related with the blanket statement that being paranoid
is NOT a disabling condition. Go figure!
