At a remote all-boys boarding school during the long summer vacation, only three students remain. The recent suicide of a classmate still hangs over them. When a new arrival appears who looks exactly like the dead boy, the fragile relationships, unspoken feelings, and quiet tensions between the remaining students begin to unravel in the empty, isolated school.
A dreamlike, atmospheric coming-of-age film noted for its androgynous casting (the male roles were played by young actresses) and melancholic, poetic tone.
