Synopsis:
Fourteen-year-old Georgia Nicholson (Georgia Groome) lives in a world of typical teenage angst. Navigating the treacherous waters of secondary school, she deals with her eccentric parents, a highly opinionated three-legged cat named Angus, and the ultimate middle-school catastrophe: a massive pair of khaki thongs bought by her mother. Alongside her tight-knit group of best friends, the "Ace Gang," Georgia's mundane British seaside life is suddenly upended when she lays eyes on Robbie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a gorgeous new boy at school who plays bass in a local band. Determined to win his heart over her superficial arch-rival Lindsay, Georgia embarks on an elaborate, often humiliating quest of romantic tactical planning—including taking professional kissing lessons—only to realize that growing up means embracing your true, chaotic self.
