[dreram-pop] (2026) C.Y.M. - My Whole World (EP) [FLAC] [DarkAngie]
C.Y.M. - My Whole World (EP) (2026)
Review:
In 2019, Vampire Weekend bassist and occasional solo artist Chris Baio got together with Mike Greene, the dance producer better known as Fort Romeau. They formed a duo called C.Y.M. and released a self-titled EP. Last year, C.Y.M. released their debut album, which is also self-titled. Now, Biao and Greene have made a collaborative EP with Abby Sage, an LA-via-Toronto singer-songwriter with a couple of albums to her name. Chris Baio's manager introduced him to Abby Sage's music in 2022, and the two of them started writing songs together before Mike Greene came in and added his own stuff. Sage and both C.Y.M. members wrote all three tracks on the My Whole World EP together, with C.Y.M. on production and Sage on vocals. The title track is a groovy shuffle with a bit of bossa nova in its DNA. It would've sounded absolutely incredible in an upscale coffee shop in 1999. — stereogum
