Trama:
Ispirata dalle storie vere di un gruppo di personaggi in lotta per la sopravvivenza nella brutale periferia Est nella Londra di fine ‘800. Hezekiah Moscow e Alec Munroe, due grandi amici scappati dalla Giamaica, si ritrovano catapultati nel sottobosco criminale della fiorente scena del pugilato a mani nude di Londra. Mentre Hezekiah trova fortuna e fama attraverso l'arte del pugilato, attira l'attenzione della famigerata Regina dei Quaranta Elefanti, Mary Carr, che decide di sfruttare i suoi talenti per far crescere la sua attività criminale. Nel frattempo, il minaccioso e autoproclamato Imperatore del mondo del pugilato di Londra Est, Sugar Goodson, è determinato a distruggere Hezekiah, le cui ambizioni di combattere a Londra Ovest minacciano tutto ciò che ha costruito. Ne consegue una battaglia tra il vecchio e il nuovo mondo.
