Synopsis:
Jem is an American animated television series that aired from 1985 to 1988. The story follows Jerrica Benton, a young woman who inherits Starlight Music and its roster of foster girls from her late father. Using holographic technology created by her father’s computer Synergy, Jerrica transforms into her alter-ego Jem, the lead singer of the rock band “Jem and the Holograms.” Together with her bandmates - her sister Kimber on keyboards, and friends Aja and Shana - they compete against the rival band The Misfits while managing Starlight House for orphaned girls. The series is known for its music, fashion, and dealing with social issues relevant to young audiences.
