I'd like to introduce a small, free program that might be useful if you want to find out which files are taking up a lot of disk space. It's called WizTree, a disk space analyzer. It's completely free and runs on 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. This version doesn't require installation and can be run from a removable drive. The program quickly scans your drive and displays the names and locations of the largest files. Scan results are presented in a tree or list format on the Top 1000 Largest Files tab. To delete a file, right-click it and select Delete from the context menu. The analyzer grays out system files, thus protecting them from accidental deletion. The developers claim this tool is one of the fastest of its kind. This is because WizTree reads the Master File Table (MFT) directly from the drive, and scanning files this way provides a huge performance boost. I scanned a terabyte drive in 10-12 seconds. However, there is a requirement: the drive must have the NTFS file system. There is a free version, which is somewhat limited in its functionality, but the archive includes a WizTree keygen. After launching it and receiving an activation code, you can run the program, enter the acquired data, then register the Enterprise version and enjoy its full functionality.
