REPACK NOTES
Unfortunately, during my initial tests of the commentary tracks I was not as thorough as I should have been and didn't think that the DVD commentary's unfiltered CRT whine was audible (at normal listening volumes) or distracting/unpleasant. Even though it is an obvious defect of the recording, I preferred the unfiltered track as I couldn't be certain that the filtering doesn't affect certain parts of the film. However, after more thorough testing at different volumes and with different setups (and after getting the opinion of others using samples), I found that the CRT whine could be easily noticed and, for some users, could be distracting and harsh at normal listening levels. After listening to the samples extensively, I didn't find the fidelity of the BD/UHD commentary to be any worse and as such replaced the DVD track to avoid the unpleasant CRT whine. I sincerely apologize for this error due entirely to my lack of exhaustive testing/listening. I performed additional checks on my two previous Anderson remuxes (Rushmore and Darjeeling) to make sure I didn't make the same mistake.
RELEASE NOTES
Used the audio from the old BD as it has slightly less filtering than the new 5.1 track. The same strong band filter is there on both tracks, but the new 5.1 has some extra filtering. I did additional checking during the repack and found no obvious distortion at the one instance of obvious filtering, so I kept the audio as-is. Used the commentary from the USA UHD as the DVD commentary has a particularly loud CRT whine that is uncomfortable to listen to at higher volumes. The UHD PGS subtitles are too bright (74%, #bdbdbd) so they were tonemapped to a more conservative brightness (58%, #949494). All of the chapter marks were already on I-frames, so no adjustment was needed. Special thanks to TMT for providing the disc early.
