In a tranquil Kent retirement village, four sharp‐witted residents—Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron—meet weekly to pore over old case files, calling themselves the Thursday Murder Club. When a property developer is found bludgeoned nearby, the octogenarian sleuths tackle their first live investigation, matching wits with police as bodies pile up and long-buried secrets surface. Richard Osman’s debut blends classic whodunnit twists with warm humour and poignant reflections on ageing and friendship, brought vividly to life by Lesley Manville’s character-rich narration.
