Lexi est une jeune patineuse amatrice comme l'était sa mère. Avec Nick son petit ami joueur de hockey, elle s'entraine très souvent sur le lac gelé de sa province. Un jour sa famille la pousse à participer à un concours de patinage artistique dans sa région. Elle fait un triomphe et est toute de suite repéré par Aiden un célèbre entraineur. Rapidement, il fait d'elle une star régionale en la poussant à se présenter au championnat national. Malheureusement, alors qu'elle s'entrainait sur la glace, elle est victime d'un accident qui, contre toute attente, va changer sa vie.
